MSc Neuroscience

The MSci Neuroscience course at the University of Southampton is a four-year integrated master's program ideal for students interested in the functioning of the brain and the nervous system. This course offers a comprehensive understanding of a rapidly developing area of bioscience and challenges students to utilize the experience and skills they gain to diagnose and treat neurological disorders.Course Content: The Neuroscience degree covers major aspects of neurobiology, such as neuroanatomy, neuropharmacology, and neurogenetics, along with other biological sciences and biochemistry. In addition to these, students will also study psychological subjects such as cognitive neuroscience, neurodevelopment, and clinical neurology. The students can choose modules according to their interest and can also select an intensive research project or an overseas placement in their final year.Key Modules: The course divides into several key modules like Foundation in Biochemistry, Physiology, and Neuroscience, Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience, Neuropharmacology, and Neurodevelopment.
