The University of Southampton offers an MA in Cultural Heritage Studies which allows students to engage with numerous forms of heritage, including tangible, intangible, and digital. It provides students with the tools necessary for heritage management and conservation. Course Content: Throughout the course, students will engage with the challenges and opportunities for heritage both globally and locally. They will study in an interdisciplinary learning environment, combining practical skills with theoretical knowledge. The course will facilitate students' skills in engagement and interpretation, as well as in the business and management aspects of cultural heritage. Key Modules: The course features modules on a range of themes including The Business of Heritage, Digital Media and Culture, Presentation and Interpretation, Intangible Heritage, and Heritage Conservation. Moreover, students have the opportunity to undertake an independent research project.Future Careers: This course equips students with skills and knowledge that are sought after in many sectors including heritage industries, tourism, museums, galleries, charities, and planning and development sectors.
