The Medical Engineering with an Industrial Placement Year MEng Degree at the University of Southampton is a full-time integrated Master’s degree program. This program provides engineering students with the healthcare industry's latest knowledge, skills, and experience. A year long work placement is also part of this course to help students gain practical experience in addition to their academic studies.Course Content: The course content of this program includes a strong foundation of core engineering principles with a focus on healthcare applications. Students will learn to design, develop, and improve tools and technologies used in healthcare. The industrial placement year will further add to their knowledge and experience by providing them with a practical, real-world understanding of medical engineering.Key Modules: The course modules include Biomedical Materials, Biomaterials, Bioengineering, Biomechanics, and Biomedical Signal Processing.
