The MEng Mechanical Engineering with Advanced Materials degree at the University of Southampton is a four-year course that offers in-depth study into all aspects of materials science. This course combines core Mechanical Engineering curriculum with advanced materials, allowing students to tailor their study towards their specific interests, career goals, or even preparatory study for a PhD. Course Content: The course includes a core curriculum consisting of modules that cover key concepts in mechanical engineering and materials science. The first two years of the course cover fundamental aspects of both these areas, after which, students will have the opportunity to specialise. The final year also allows students to investigate a topic of their choice in depth, through a major research project.
