The MEng Civil Engineering degree at the University of Southampton is a full-time course designed to instil a thorough understanding of technical competencies, plus creativity, problem-solving and management skills. Delivered by leading professionals and internationally renowned academics, the course will provide students with the knowledge of major technology and management issues in civil engineering.Course Content: During the first two years of the course, students will cover the principles of civil engineering and develop their engineering skills. In the third year, students will work on a real-life design project with practising engineers. In the final year, students can choose specialist modules and will have the opportunity to work on an individual project.Key Modules: Core modules include Design and Computing Skills, Introduction to Materials, Structures and Mechanisms, and Engineering Mathematics.
