BSc (Hons) Business Analytics with Study Abroad Year

The Business Analytics with Study Abroad Year BSc at the University of Southampton offers students the opportunity to learn the key fundamentals of business analytics with an added benefit of a year abroad experience. This course is designed for students interested in the broad application of data analysis to reach strategic decisions. Course Content: This course gives students a grounding in operational research, machine learning, programming and data analysis. It extends to aspects of behavioural science to learn how people make decisions, as well as giving you a managerial perspective on analytics and strategy. The year abroad allows students to immerse themselves in different business cultures worldwide and bring an international perspective to their studies. Key Modules: The key modules include Introduction to Management, Programming in Python, Advanced Management Science Techniques, Data Mining, Marketing Analytics, and a module on Behavioural Decision Making. The integral part of the course is the one-year internship abroad that Schengen students can go for in year 3.Accreditations: This course is recognized by the Operational Research Society. Future Careers: Graduates of this program will be well equipped for roles that require decision-making based on data analysis. This includes data analysis, operational research, management consulting, supply chain management and roles in systems development.
