The Theoretical Physics with Mathematics (Study Abroad) MSci (Hons) degree programme at Lancaster University is a four-year full-time course designed to provide you with a combination of theoretical and mathematical skills with a particular emphasis on the theoretical aspects of the field. One distinctive feature of this course is the opportunity to study abroad in your third year, typically at one of our partner institutions in North America or Australasia. Course Content: The first two years of this course consist of compulsory modules that lay the foundation in both Theoretical Physics and Mathematics. In the third year, you will have an opportunity to study abroad. In the fourth year, you will undertake an original research project in addition to other compulsory and optional modules. Key Modules: Some compulsory modules in this course include 'Quantum Mechanics', 'Solid State Physics', 'Mathematics for Physicists', 'Mathematical Methods for Physicists', 'Nuclear and Particle Physics', 'Relativity and Cosmology', 'Functional Analysis for Physicists', and 'MSci Research Project'. Future Careers: Graduates from this degree programme often work in research and development roles in high-tech industries. You may also pursue a career in finance, IT, or teaching or proceed to postgraduate study and research. For more information on this course, please visit the official course page.
