Meng Engineering (Study Abroad)

The Engineering Study Abroad MEng (Hons) H104 course offered by Lancaster University provides students with an opportunity to learn technical and commercial skills, and gain exposure to the world of work within the industry. In addition to traditional lectures and seminars, the course includes design-led learning that simulates a real-world professional engineering environment.Course Content: The four-year full-time undergraduate course combines the broad view of all engineering disciplines with an in-depth education in your chosen field. You will work in small cross-disciplinary teams to develop and build solutions to engineering problems, which makes the experience as close to an industrial project as possible within an educational context.Key Modules: Year 1 provides an overview of the principles of engineering. You’ll then explore these principles in depth in Year 2. During Year 3, you will solve real-world problems as part of a team, and study your chosen discipline in more depth. In the final year, you’ll build on these foundations, focusing in detail on a specific topic by conducting your own research project and studying the relevant modules.Accreditations: The course is recognised by the Professional Engineering Institutions for the Engineering Council’s Further Learning requirements for registration as a Chartered Engineer.Future Careers: Graduates have found challenging and rewarding positions within many sectors of engineering, including design or process engineering, engineering consultancy, project management, the automotive industry, aerospace, the nuclear industry, working within utility companies or even starting up their own companies.For more information on this course, please visit the official course page.
