Meng Chemical Engineering (Study Abroad)

The Chemical Engineering (Study Abroad) MEng (Hons) course at Lancaster University is a four-year degree course which provides students with a firm grounding in the principles of Chemical Engineering along with the opportunity of gaining international exposure by spending a year abroad. This course allows students to develop a global professional outlook and significantly enhances their prospects for career advancement.Course Content: The course content provides a strong foundation in fundamental science, mathematics, and Chemical Engineering. It offers advanced study in Engineering Analysis and Design while allowing the flexibility to specialize through a range of options. The third year is spent abroad, ideally in an institution that offers Chemical Engineering. The final year introduces cutting-edge topics in nanotechnology and biotechnology.Key Modules: The modules that form the core of the course are Advanced Separation Processes, Process Modelling and Simulation, and Particle Technology. Optional modules include Biochemical Engineering, Industrial Catalysts, and Industrial Case Study.Accreditations: The course is approved by the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) which fulfills the requirements for Further Learning for Registration as a Chartered Engineer.Future Careers: This programme prepares students for a variety of career options.
