MA Discourse Studies

Lancaster University offers a Discourse Studies MA, an exploratory program where students develop skills in the systematic investigation of different aspects of spoken and written language in use. The course allows students to deepen and broaden their understanding of theoretical and practical issues relating to discourse, under the supervision of internationally renowned scholars. Course Content: The course is composed of a variety of modules, workshops, and tutorial sessions, with a mix of lectures and data analysis seminars. It incorporates both theoretical and methodological content to enable students to analyse different features of text and talk in a wide range of social and institutional contexts.
