MA Arts Hons Geography (Study Abroad)

The Geography (Study Abroad) (Marts, Hons) (L703) at Lancaster University is a comprehensive four-year undergraduate course that offers students the chance to study abroad for a full academic year. This course aims to instil in students a comprehensive understanding of Geography through engaging studies of the Earth's landscapes, environments and the places within them.Course Content: This course encompasses studies of physical geography, human geography, environmental processes, geographical skills, geographical research and globalisation. Furthermore, the course aims to enhance student abilities in research, critical thinking, fieldwork, mapping, spatial analysis, and numerical techniques.Key Modules: The key modules for this course are spread over four years and include Understanding the Social World, Learning from the Physical Landscape, Environment and Culture, Geographical Skills in a Changing World, Earth Surface Processes and Landscapes, and more. In the second year, students explore contemporary issues in human geography, geographic data: sources and visualisation, and field courses in physical geography.
