LLB Law with Politics

The Law with Politics LLB (Hons) course offered by Lancaster University is an integrated, comprehensive programme that amalgamates the study of Law with the understanding of political ideologies, institutions, processes and behavior from a national, European and International viewpoint. This three-year full-time course is designed to allow students to develop a sophisticated understanding of the impact of law in a political setting and in society at large.Course Content: The programme combines core modules in law and politics in the first year, followed by the opportunity to choose from a wide selection of optional modules in later years. Students get the chance to study politics through the lens of law and explore their overlapping themes and issues.Key Modules: Some of the core modules include Public Law, Human Rights law, Constitutional Law, Introduction to Politics and Governance and more. Optional modules range from International Relations Theory, Intelligence and Security, EU Law, International Law and many others.Accreditations: The course is accredited and recognized by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and the Bar Standards Board to fulfill the academic stage of training for progressing to the legal vocational courses.Future Careers: This course prepares students for law or politics centered careers including becoming a solicitor, barrister, civil servant, working in non-governmental organizations or for an international organization.
