The Physical Geography (Placement Year) BSc Hons at Lancaster University is a four-year undergraduate course that offers comprehensive training in physical geography. This course combines theoretical and practical training in areas such as climate change, geomorphology, and hydrology.Course Content: During the first year, students are introduced to Earth's fundamental physical processes, which also includes a week-long residential field course. The second year focuses on advancing the knowledge acquired in the first year, with the added advantage of optional modules that gear towards students' interests. Alongside this, students undergo a five-day UK based residential field module that enhances their fieldwork and research skills. The third year is fully dedicated to industry placement, which can be local, national, or international.
