BSc (Hons) MSci Earth and Environmental Science (Study Abroad)

The Earth and Environmental Science programme at Lancaster University is a 4-year full-time MSci (Hons) course that offers students the opportunity to study abroad for an entire year. Through this course, students gain advanced understanding of the earth's natural processes, historical changes as well as future challenges. Course Content: The programme comprises modules in Aquatic Environmental Science, Soil Science, Conservation and Ecology, Atmospheric Science, and Environmental Remote Sensing. Through this course, students are equipped with key knowledge and understanding of the physical environment and ecosystems around the world. An obligatory field course ensures practical exposure and proficient observational and analytical skills.Key Modules: The curriculum includes modules such as Fundamentals of Chemistry, Environmental Processes, Numerical and Spatial Data Analysis and Earth and Life along with a dissertation which forms an essential part of the MSci course. Accreditations: The course is accredited by the Institution of Environmental Sciences and the Geological Society of London which provides students with professional recognition in their respective fields.Future Careers: Graduates of this programme can pursue diverse career opportunities such as environmental consultancy, land and water management, planning and surveying and positions within governmental and non-governmental agencies.
