The Engineering Study Abroad BEng (Hons) H103 program at Lancaster University provides students with the opportunity to gain firsthand global exposure in engineering. This program integrates practical and theoretical engineering principles while allowing students to spend a year studying engineering at an institution abroad.Course Content: In the first year, students get introduced to engineering principles as well as studies in electrical, electronic and mechanical systems. During the second year, students deepen their understanding and develop hands-on skills through laboratory work and designing a product. In the third year, students continue with their in-depth engineering education at a partner university abroad. In their final year, students undertake an individual project allowing them to explore a specific area of interest in detail.Key Modules: Key modules of the course include Engineering Mathematics, Engineering Design, Mechanics, Thermo Fluids, Structures and Materials, Electronics, Electrical Systems and Power, Circuits, and Machines. Accreditations: This program is accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators (JBM) (comprising the Institution of Civil Engineers, Institution of Structural Engineers, Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation, and Institute of Highway Engineers), and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.Future Careers: Graduates of the Engineering Study Abroad BEng (Hons) H103 program can expect to work in areas such as electronics or mechanical consultancy, system analysis, industry-related finance, or even fields such as defense, non-profit environment or healthcare. For more information on this course, please visit the official course page here.
