The Chemical Engineering with Placement Year BEng (Hons) H814/2025 course at Lancaster University is a unique program that offers comprehensive academic training in the fundamentals of chemical engineering. During the four-year course, students will have the opportunity to gain practical experience through a placement year in industry, working in a full-time role.Course Content: During the first two years, students will develop fundamental chemical engineering skills, with a focus on process and product design, thermodynamics, and sustainability. In the third year, students will spend a full year working within a business, applying the skills they have learned.
