Beng Chemical Engineering (Study Abroad)

The Chemical Engineering (Study Abroad) BEng Hons (H812) at the Lancaster University is a full-time, four-year degree program that includes an exciting year abroad. The course is designed to provide students with a solid grounding in fundamental engineering principles, while honing their skills in the application of scientific, economic and social knowledge to design, operate and manage chemical processes.Course Content: The course's four-year duration includes core modules that cover essential Chemical Engineering principles and specialised modules to boost a more in-depth understanding of the area. Students also get a chance to apply their learning through numerous laboratory sessions, design projects, site visits and industrial placements. The third year of study is spent abroad in an approved university where students will be exposed to various international approaches to Chemical Engineering.Key Modules: Core modules covered during the course include Fluid Mechanics and Transfer Processes, Chemical Reactor Engineering, Thermodynamics, Process Modelling, Safety and Loss Prevention, and Advanced Chemical Thermodynamics. Specialised modules of study may include Industrial Management, Environmental Engineering and Advanced Separation Techniques.Accreditations: This Chemical Engineering course is accredited by the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) and meets the requirements for Further Learning for Registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng).
