BA (Hons) Theatre and Creative Writing (Study Abroad)

The Theatre and Creative Writing (Study Abroad) BA Hons at Lancaster University is a unique degree program that allows students to indulge in and develop their passion for drama and creative writing. The course is structured in a way that fosters critical and practical expertise in drama. There's also an equally significant emphasis on understanding the art, craft, and power of written language. Course Content: The course is delivered through lectures, workshops, seminars, and practical sessions. Students will explore practical theatre-making alongside creative writing skills and methodologies. Among others, they will learn the practical skills of acting, directing, and designing, while also exploring the written art. In their second year, students can opt to study abroad at one of Lancaster University’s partner institutions, gaining valuable international experience and perspective.Key Modules: Students can expect to study modules like Dramatic Writing Workshop, Introduction to Theatre Studies, Theatre Studies: An Introduction (Practice), Drama, Theatre, and Modernism, and Prose Writing Workshop.
