The Theatre and Creative Writing (Placement Year) BA Hons at Lancaster University is a unique course that allows you to immerse yourself in a vibrant literary culture – reading, writing and discussing great literature – while enjoying the artistic freedom of the theatre. You can explore a variety of theatrical works and styles while developing your writing skills across a range of form and genres.Course Content: This course combines both Theatre and Creative Writing. In your first year, you’ll study writing, narrative and dramaturgy, and have the choice to study Introduction to Creative Writing, as well as Introduction to Theatre Studies. In second and third year, you will further your understanding of creative writing theory and practice, and deepen your knowledge of various Theatre forms, performances and styles.
