The Theatre and Creative Writing BA (Hons) at Lancaster University is a combined degree course that carefully balances both creative disciplines. This course allows students to explore a range of theatrical genres and styles, alongside developing their creative writing skills in several different formats and styles. Course Content: Over the course of this three-year program, students will be taught through a series of lectures, seminars, workshops and practical classes. In the first year of the course, students gain a comprehensive understanding of theatre studies and creative writing, exploring areas such as introduction to theatre, plays and playwriting, and introduction to creative writing. In the second year, more specialized modules such as page to stage, writing for the screen, and litfest and beyond are offered.
