BA (Hons) Management and Spanish Studies

The Management and Spanish Studies BA (Hons) program offered at Lancaster University is an immersive, comprehensive program that integrates management studies with the linguistic and cultural facets of Spanish. This four-year course imparts a broad understanding of management concepts while developing students' Spanish language proficiency and cultural awareness. Students are encouraged to embark on a year abroad in a Spanish-speaking country to augment their real-world language use and understanding. Course Content: The course is designed to provide students with the necessary tools and knowledge for a successful career in international business and management. The first year includes compulsory modules in Management and in Spanish, marking an introduction to both key disciplines. The second year places more focus on organizing and managing, while also enabling students to improve upon their Spanish skills and learn about Hispanic culture. In the third year, students are expected to travel to a Spanish-speaking country for a year of study or work placement. In the final year, students will deepen their understanding of the principles of management and Spanish.Key Modules: Some of the key modules that students will encounter during this program span areas like Introduction to Management, Managing in Organisations, Hispanic Studies, Spanish Language: Beginners to CEFR B2, and Spanish Language: CEFR B2 to C1. Future Careers: Graduates of this program are equipped for a wide range of careers in various sectors including international business, management, consulting, translation, and education, among others.
