BA (Hons) Human Geography (Placement Year)

The Human Geography with Placement Year (BA Hons) is a unique undergraduate course offered by Lancaster University. This course allows students to explore the relationships between people and their environments. From landscapes to economies, the four-year degree offers a range of physical, human and nature-society geography topics.Course Content: During the first year, students will gain a broad understanding of human geography. Following years will delve into key topics such as Cities and Globalisation, Geographies of the Global South, and Geographies of Political Economy. The Placement year is spent working in an organisation relevant to human geography, where students can apply their theoretical knowledge in a practical context.Key Modules: Core modules include Geographies of the Global South, Making Spaces, Geographies of Political Economy, Key Themes in the Study of Africa, and Living Cities.
