The Fine Art (Study Abroad) BA (Hons) course offered by Lancaster University provides students with an opportunity to explore their individual creativity whilst gaining upcoming insights regarding professional art practice. This course emphasizes the development of artistic skills, intellectual capacities, and creative exploration. Course Content: The course initiates with fundamental aspects of fine art and eventually becomes more individualized, allowing students to focus on their areas of interest. There’s an emphasis on exploring different materials and mediums such as painting, printmaking, installation, performance, sound, photography, and video. This course also includes art history modules and offers a chance to study abroad at one of Lancaster University’s partner institutions.Key Modules: In the first year, students will concentrate on 'Contemporary Approaches to Fine Art Practice' and 'Introduction to Fine Art 1 & 2'. The second year covers 'Fine Art Practice', 'Professional Practice in Fine Art', and 'Contemporary Debates in Fine Art'. In the final year, students will work on a 'Fine Art Dissertation' and a negotiated 'Fine Art Project'.Future Careers: Graduates of this course have gone on to establish successful careers as professional artists, designers, and illustrators.
