BA (Hons) Fine Art and Theatre

The Fine Art and Theatre BA (Hons) course at the Lancaster University is a unique interdisciplinary program that offers students the opportunity to combine the study of Fine Art and Theatre in equal measures. This course provides a comprehensive understanding of both fields and encourages students to explore their own interests and strengths within the arts.Course Content: The course content covers a wide array of subjects in both Fine Art and Theatre. This includes studying performance, painting, sculpture, drawing, theatre practice and more. From analyzing iconic works of literature in the theatre to creating your own artistic masterpieces, the course offers a diverse and hands-on learning experience. Key Modules: Some of the core modules students will study include Introduction to Theatre Studies, Introduction to Performance, Art Objects and Making a Scene: History and Theory in Fine Art and Theatre. Optional modules can include Performance Composition, Painting and Stage Design among others. Future Careers: Successful completion of the course opens doors to various career paths on both the theatre and fine art front. Graduates can forge successful careers in theatre direction, performance, stage design, arts management, teaching, curation, illustration, or continue on to further study in a related field.
