The Fine Art and Film (Study Abroad) BA Hons at Lancaster University offers students an interdisciplinary approach to study both creative and critical perspectives within the fields of fine art and film. This four-year full-time course includes the opportunity to spend the third year of the course studying abroad at one of their partner institutions.Course Content: This degree begins with a range of extensive studio and workshop inductions, creative exercises, art history, film studies and much more. Students will learn a broad range of skills in both artistic and analytical fields. Year two involves in-depth exploration of a field within fine art, as students have the chance to choose from a variety of options. The final year concentrates on developing an independent practice within the discipline students have chosen. Key Modules: The course includes a variety of modules such as; Introduction to Film Studies, Fine Art 1A, Fine Art 1B, Researching Film and Television, and Studying Film. Future Careers: On completion of this course, students can start their careers within a broad range of creative industries. This includes artistic roles in visual and performance art, film and television, design and animation,. or positions in cultural industries such as curation, administration, marketing, and education.
