The Fine Art and Design (Placement Year) BA Hons (W1W3) at Lancaster University integrates practice and theory, challenging students to grow a wide range of creative, theoretical and practical skills. The curriculum covers a broad range of disciplines including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, installation, video, sound, performance, photography, history of art and visual cultures, among others. Key Modules: Specific modules include ‘Fine Art Studio’, ‘Fine Art Theory’, ‘Printmaking’, ‘Sculpture and Installation’, ‘Further Fine Art Studio’, ‘Art and Theory’ and ‘Art and Design Dissertation’. Future Careers: Numerous career paths can be taken up by graduates of the Fine Art and Design (Placement Year) BA Hons. These include working as practicing artists, designers, illustrators, arts administrators, curators, educators, and in creative marketing and digital media.
