The English Literature and Politics (Study Abroad) BA Hons at Lancaster University offers a unique blend of in-depth study in literature and politics with the opportunity to study abroad. As per the university's plan, the first two years of the programme are spent at Lancaster, followed by a year studying at one of the university's partner institutions overseas. The final year, after returning to Lancaster, deepens the understanding further with advanced modules and prepares the students for a global career.Course Content: The course provides a thorough understanding of English literature combined with the study of political and governmental institutions. In the first two years, it offers a choice of various modules in Literature and Politics, followed by the third year abroad at a partner institution offering a similar area of study. The final year includes further advanced modules and the choice of either a dissertation or a sustained research project.Key Modules: The course includes various modules that cover subjects like 'Reading Literature', 'The Making of Modern Britain', 'Creative Writing', 'Shakespeare', 'Global Politics', 'Comparative Politics', 'Literature and Film', and 'Theorising the Contemporary World'.
