BA (Hons) English Language (Study Abroad)

English Language Study Abroad BA (Hons) is an undergraduate course by Lancaster University. The program offers students a unique opportunity to study English language from an international perspective. The four year course includes a year abroad where students get the chance to improve their language skills in a foreign environment while being exposed to different cultures.Course Content: The curriculum is designed with the flexibility to allow students to shape their studies as per their interests. The first year introduces all aspects of language, and then specialization begins with the choice of modules in linguistics, English language, and literary studies. Some of the specializations include semantics, syntax, and sociolinguistics. The third year is spent abroad. Key Modules: Some of the key modules covered in the course are Understanding Language, English in the World, Sociolinguistics, Syntax and Semantics, Language and Identity, and Language Variation and Change.Future Careers: Graduates of the course usually go on to do work in fields as diverse as marketing, public relations, journalism, and other roles in the creative sectors.
