BA (Hons) English Language and Literature (Study Abroad)

The English Language and Literature (Study Abroad) BA (Hons) is a comprehensive program offered by Lancaster University. This program provides students with an excellent opportunity to combine the study of English language and literature in a single program. Students also have the unique chance to enhance their learning experience by spending their third year studying English at one of Lancaster University's overseas partner institutions.Course Content: The course enables students to explore the full breadth and depth of English language studies. This includes studying how the English language works in literature, as well as in other fields such as politics, the media, and education. In addition to examining contemporary and historical literature, students are also exposed to the diversity and versatility of modern English and are equipped with the skills to analyze and explain its structure and use.Key Modules: While the course's specific modules can slightly vary each year, key areas of focus include English language, Stylistics, World Englishes, Describing Language, the History of English, and modern and contemporary Literature.
