The English Language and Linguistics Study Abroad BA (Hons) Qualification at Lancaster University is a four-year course that allows students to broaden their horizons and gain a global perspective on their chosen field of study. This course aims to deepen students' understanding of language, its structure, its history and its use in context, giving students the skills to analyse and work with complex linguistic data.Course Content: In the first year, students will focus on the Introduction to English Language and Literature, Academic Writing, and Writing for the Academic and Professional Development module. In their second year, they will cover core subjects, including Phonetics and Phonology and Sociolinguistics. During their third year, they will have the opportunity to study abroad at one of Lancaster's partner universities across the globe.
