The BA (Hons) in English Language and Creative Writing (Study Abroad) at Lancaster University is a unique course that combines the in-depth study of the English language with the opportunity to foster and develop your creative writing skills. In addition to enhancing your writing skills, you will also study language in a historical and contemporary context. The course also provides you with a year studying abroad, broadening your academic and cultural experience.Course Content: The course is split across three years with a mix of compulsory and optional modules. Year 1 offers an introduction to linguistics and creative writing, and you will begin improving your writing skills. Year 2 deepens your understanding of individual authors, literary movements, periods, themes, and topics, while you develop your creative writing portfolio. A year abroad at one of Lancaster University's partner institutions will be there in your third year.
