The BA (Hons) in Economics, Politics and International Relations (Industry) at Lancaster University offers students a unique opportunity to combine the study of economics with politics and international relations. This four-year course provides students with a deep understanding of how economic policies are influenced by political and international events, and vice versa. The course offers a year in the industry, providing practical experience to enhance theoretical knowledge.Course Content: This degree program covers a broad spectrum of subjects related to economics, politics and international relations. The first year provides foundational knowledge, while the second year further builds on this knowledge with core and optional modules. The third year is spent gaining industry experience, while the final year focuses on individual study and further deepening of the knowledge in the subjects.Key Modules: Students will have the opportunity to study modules such as Introductory Mathematics for Economists, Intermediate Microeconomics, Trade and International Business, and The State and Political Institutions. Optional modules include Contemporary Britain, Global Terrorism and Transnational Crime, and Theories of International Relations.Accreditations: Upon successful completion of the program, students can become members of the Royal Economic Society and the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
