The Criminology BA (Hons) course at the Lancaster University is a dynamic and flexible program that explores contemporary issues concerning crime and criminal justice. Key Modules: In Year 1, students will study Introduction to Criminology, Understanding Social Science and Social Divisions. Other modules include Crime and Society, Research and Other Skills, Law and Crime. From Year 2 onwards they can choose from a wide range of modules such as: Policing and Society, Terrorism, Justice and Society, Mental Health and Society, Drug Use and Society, Youth Justice, and more. Some of the final year modules include Race and Crime, Sex, Gender and Violence, Cybercrime, Green Criminology, and International Human Rights Law. Future Careers: This course can lead to various career paths. Graduates from this course have gone into policing (both 'high street' and 'online'), legal professions, criminal justice agencies, local and central government, and third sector organisations.
