BA (Hons) Architecture (Study Abroad)

The Architecture (Study Abroad) BA (Hons) programme at Lancaster University is a meticulously crafted course designed to imbibe students with a skillful perspective in the realm of architectural design. The programme focuses on dimensional and spatial creativity, encouraging students to understand the technical, social, and historical aspects of architecture. Course Content: The curriculum of the programme encompasses a comprehensive study on many major aspects of architecture. The initial years are dedicated to introducing the basic principles of architectural design. The third year is spent abroad to further enhance the students' exposure and understanding of global architectural diversions. The fourth year is dedicated to preparing the portfolio and focusing more deeply on designing, technology, history, theory, and professional studies related to architecture.Key Modules: The course includes modules such as ‘Design Studio,’ ‘Technology,’ ‘Design Methods,’ ‘Architectural History and Theory.’ In addition, students have the opportunity to choose from a range of optional modules which can be additional language studies, entrepreneurship, or international relations subjects.Accreditations: The course is provisionally prescribed by the Architects Registration Board (ARB) for the purpose of eligibility to progress towards registration as an architect in the UK.Future Careers: This course prepares students for various career prospects in the architecture field and related sectors.
