The MSc Human-Computer Interaction is a full-time, on-campus postgraduate course offered by the University for the Creative Arts. This course is designed to provide students with an advanced understanding of the latest theory, principles and design techniques that are needed to create intuitive, user-centric interfaces for human-computer interaction.Course Content: The course combines ideas and techniques from computing, design, psychology and the business of technology. The syllabus includes learning about the interaction between humans and computers, designing human-centred interactive technologies, learning various design strategies, exploring socio-technical systems, understanding the roles and challenges in the HCI profession, and researching and applying HCI theories. Key Modules: The course is structured into several modules including 'People and Computing', 'Advanced Interaction Design', 'Qualitative & Quantitative Research Methods', 'Interaction Design Masterclass', 'HCI Professional Issues & Challenges', 'HCI Project & Portfolio', and 'Master's Project: HCI'.Accreditations: The course content is aligned with the British Computer Society’s (BCS) curriculum in Human Computer Interaction in addition to the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) Subject Benchmark Statement for Master’s degrees in Computing.Future Careers: Graduates of this program will have the necessary skills to pursue a career in human-computer interaction design, user-experience design or interaction design.
