The MA Filmmaking course at UCA provides a stimulating environment in which creative individuals can explore and experiment with the craft of filmmaking, allowing them to succeed as innovative creators within the film industry. The course combines multiple disciplines and encounters, from narrative filmmaking, experimental film and artists’ moving image to animation and film theory.Course Content: The MA Filmmaking course offers students the opportunity to develop their ideas into a feature-length film, with expert guidance and insights from industry veterans. Students will learn and understand the full range of directorial, creative and technical roles within filmmaking, and be taught how these collaborate and interact to produce a successful film. Key Modules: Modules include narrative filmmaking, animation, documentary, script writing, production design, cinematography, directing, post-production (editing), sound design, art direction, and research methods. Future Careers: Graduates from the course can go on to work in the film industry, marketing, advertising, in-house video production, and education, or may choose to set up their own independent film production company.
