MA Architecture with Integrated Pre-Masters

The course invites students to explore the potential of space and structures with the latest digital technologies.Course Content: The MA Architecture course embraces the realities of professional institutes, economic forces, cultural context, contemporary media, and the broadened disciplinary and operational opportunities within the profession. The course encourages innovation in architectural design and promotes a culture of research led design through architectural speculation, problem-solving, exploratory design and critical thinking. Students will be introduced to sophisticated digital tools and processes and are also encouraged to explore different materiality by utilising the extensive workshop facilities.Key Modules: The course includes several modules, including Architecture & Urbanism, Architecture & Identity, Architecture & Ecologies, and Professional Placement Scheme. In the Urbanism module, students scrutinize the role of urban architecture. The Identity module explores the impact of cultural and societal norms on architecture, while the Ecologies module studies the intersection of architecture and ecological knowledge. The professional placement scheme gives the students on-site experience.Accreditations: The course is prescribed by the Architects Registration Board (ARB) for students who wish to proceed towards professional registration as an architect in the UK. Future Careers: The MA Architecture course equips graduates for a range of careers in architecture and related disciplines. They can pursue roles in architectural practice, development practice, urban design, architectural history, architecture criticism, and architectural journalism.
