The BSc Industrial Design course offered by the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) is a three-year program designed to provide students with the ability to understand the commercial potential of a creative idea and to be able to put it into production. The course allows students to explore the interactive intersection of design, technology and theory, focusing on user experience, manufacturing quality and market value.Course Content: The course includes in-depth understanding of design theory and practice taught through lectures, workshops, seminars, group critiques and tutorial support. Students gain hands-on experience working on industry-led live briefs, group projects, and on-site visits. Students will gain an understanding in CAD (Computer-aided Design), 3D printing, technical drawings, modelling and prototyping. Key Modules: The course consists of modules such as Design Studio, Technical Skills, Contextual Studies, Professional Practice, Major Project and Dissertation.
