The BSc (Hons) Urban Design & Planning Course at the University for the Creative Arts has been designed with a forward-thinking, creative and analytical approach. This course aims to enable students to plan for better urban future via development of innovative design and policy-making skills.Course Content: This bachelor’s degree combines academic research within an arts university with the technical knowledge and analytical tools necessary for the understanding of urban design and planning. The course provides an understanding of the key challenges faced by our cities, towns and urban places today. It emphasizes on the correlation between major urban challenges and the various ways to respond, specifically through urban design and urban planning.Key Modules: The course is divided into three years. In the first year, students learn the basics such as architectural technology and urban environment. By the second year, modules focus on more specialized subjects like urban ecology, and urban design & plan.
