BA (Hons) Television Production with Integrated Foundation

The BA (Hons) Television Production course at the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) is designed to give students the skills they need to succeed in the rapidly evolving global television industry. This course allows students to gain practical hands-on experience in appreciating the theoretical, technical, and historical aspects of television production.Course Content: The course provides a comprehensive overview of television production, from devising and movie-making to multi-camera studio production, music videos and short feature films. Students will receive training in research, writing, developing and pitching ideas, shooting, editing, sound recording and more. They will also have the opportunity to specialize in areas such as directing, producing, broadcasting, sound design, editing, cinematography or production design.Key Modules: The course is divided into different modules which include Television Production, The Television Production Toolkit, Understanding the Television Industry, Television Drama, Storytelling for the Screen, Developing a Television Magazine Programme, Introduction to Multi-camera Studio Production, Television Documentary, and Professional Practice in Television Production.Future Careers: Graduates from this course have gone onto work in a range of roles within the television industry, including Researchers, Production Assistants, Editors, TV Presenters, Director's Assistants and Camera Operators.
