BA (Hons) Product & Furniture Design

The BA (Hons) Product and Furniture Design course at the University for the Creative Arts is a contemporary, creative course that equips students with the practical skills, critical and contextual understanding needed to operate in the sectors of product and furniture design.Course Content: The course provides a vibrant, dynamic and supportive learning environment for students willing to be innovative and progressive. Starting with a foundation year that will fully equip them for an undergraduate degree in design, students get to explore a broad range of subjects including design and materials, 3D practices, computer-aided design (CAD), research, and drawing and communication.Key Modules: The main modules studied throughout the course include Materials & Making, Research & Design Process, Drawing & Visual Communication, Design & Context, and Design & The Market among others.Future Careers: Upon graduation, students have gone on to establish successful freelance careers, work in industry, consultancy, teaching, or further study at postgraduate level.
