BA (Hons) Interior Architecture

The BA Interior Architecture course at the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) is a full-time, three-year course that explores the relationship between architecture, interiors, and people. This course encourages you to explore and understand space, bringing together architectural, interior and experiential design to create innovative, imaginative and effective spaces.Course Content: The course begins with an introduction to interior architecture, giving you the foundational tools, methods and processes of design and representation. You'll explore key issues, contemporary practices and trends in interior architecture, including sustainability, adaptive reuse, and technology-led solutions. As you progress, you'll undertake more complex design challenges, synthesising your growing knowledge, skills and creativity.Key Modules: You'll undertake modules such as Interior Contexts, Interior Theories, Design Process, Advanced Design Practice, and Final Major Project. You will also have the opportunity to study abroad, undertake a work placement or engage in entrepreneurial projects.Accreditations: This course is accredited by the Chartered Society of Designers, providing a mark of assurance that the course meets the standards set by the industry.Future Careers: Graduates can pursue careers in a range of sectors including architectural and interior design practice, exhibition design, event design, film and television production design, and visualisation and animation.
