The BA (Hons) Games Arts course at the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) provides students with the opportunity to create character designs, environments, and total immersion in the culture of games as well as work on the technical skills and principles of games design. This course is designed to mould students into critical practitioners, synthesizing creativity, technical skills, and principles of game design by focusing on the production of ideas that are original, innovative, and push gaming boundaries.Course Content: This course includes studying the principles of animation in relation to games, learning how to create and rig character assets for games, developing effective design methodologies, understanding the principles behind game engines, learning the process of game production, and creating and implementing 3D assets into games.Key Modules: Core modules include: Animation Principles for Games, Basic 3D Animation and Rigging, Environment Design Methods, Advanced 3D Animation and Rigging for Games, Game Art Toolset, and Games Production Process.Accreditations: This course is accredited by the University for the Creative Arts (UCA).Future Careers: The skills and knowledge acquired during the course open up a world of opportunities in careers such as a game artist, concept artist, animator, 3D modeller, texture artist, level designer, and more within the gaming industry.
