The BA Architecture course at UCA is a three-year undergraduate program that offers students the technical skills and knowledge to tackle architectural design problems and developments. The course provides a comprehensive study on architecture with emphasis on creativity, environmental design, management, and professional practice. Course Content: BA Architecture course explores architectural history and theory, technical and material considerations and professional practice. It also includes a variety of collaborative and individual projects that allow students to design buildings, spaces and cities using physical modelling facilities, digital fabrication, and a range of technical drawing and visualization techniques. Key Modules: The course is structured into six modules each year which are: Architectural Design, History and Theory of Architecture, Communication, Technology, Professional and Management Studies, and Personal and Professional Development. Accreditations: The course is validated by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and prescribed by the Architects Registration Board (ARB) for the purpose of a Part 1 qualification.Future Careers: The BA Architecture programme's completion provides the basis for a career as an architect, as well as offering a strong foundation to move into related fields such as interior architecture, exhibition design, or spatial planning and urbanism.
