The Biomedical Sciences (Health, Exercise & Nutrition) BSc (Hons) at Cardiff Metropolitan University is a programme designed to provide students with a deep understanding of the key issues facing health, exercise and nutrition in the context of the biomedical sciences. The first level provides an overview of the biomedical sciences, including essential chemistry, biology and physiology, the other two levels delve into a wide range of subjects including human nutrition, exercise physiology, biomechanics, metabolism, and pathophysiology.Key Modules: The course includes key modules like Biology and Physiology, Essential Skills for Biomedical Sciences, Metabolism and Disease, Molecular Genetics and Bioinformatics, Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics and Performance Analysis, and Human Nutrition.Accreditations: The course is accredited by the Royal Society of Biology (RSB) for the purpose of meeting in part the academic and experience requirement for Membership and Chartered Biologist (CBiol).Future Careers: Graduates of this course may go on to work in a wide range of fields such as health and fitness industry as fitness instructors, personal trainers, diet advisors, health promotion specialists or in the health sector as biomedical scientists, clinical biochemists, immunologists, and microbiologists.
