BA (Hons) Professional Policing

The Professional Policing BA (Hons) Degree at Cardiff Metropolitan University is a full-time, three-year course designed to equip students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed for a career in the policing and security industry. Taught by experienced academics and industry professionals, the course allows students to learn about a wide range of subjects from law and police powers to investigative practice and professional regulatory breaches. Course Content: Throughout the course, students will gain an understanding of key areas such as police law and community policing. They will get hands-on training in areas like crime and investigative studies and explore ethical issues and professional conduct in policing. Accreditations: The course is recognised by the College of Policing (CoP), the professional body for everyone who works for the police service in England and Wales. Future Careers: Graduates of this course may progress to roles in criminal justice agencies, intelligence analysis, and the police service, among others.
