The BA Ceramics at Cardiff Metropolitan School of Art and Design offers a strong focus on material, knowledge and understanding, encouraging creativity, individuality and personal development. Students have an opportunity to explore a full range of ceramics, from sculpture to functional tableware, working with a wide spectrum of clay and glaze materials.Course Content: The course takes a material-led approach to teaching and students will learn about ceramics through experience and understanding. They will have access to fully equipped labs and workshops, and will learn pottery and materials technology, contextual studies, and entrepreneurship. In addition, there is a provision for research-oriented dissertations in the final year.Key Modules: The program includes modules on design and practical skills, entrepreneurship, as well as opportunities to take part in exhibitions and competitions.
