The MSc Social Science Research Methods (SSRM) provides a wide range of training in social science research methods and broadly brings together many aspects that govern research in social sciences. This course will suit students wanting to develop the ability to apply research techniques to a range of substantive issues.Course Content: The course consists of six 20 credit modules - three fulfilled through subject-specific training and three fulfilled through undertaking our core Social Science Research Methods programme (which includes skills development activities run by the Doctoral Academy). You will complete your dissertation over the summer.Key Modules: Some modules you might inter alia cover include - Philosophy and Research Design, Qualitative 1: Data Collection, Quantitative 1: The Generalized Linear Model and Mixed Methods. Accreditations: The course meets the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) requirements for postgraduate research training.
