The Radiography (MSc) taught course is a full-time, one-year course offered by Cardiff University. It is designed for graduates from a health, science, biomedical or professional healthcare background willing to gain theoretical and clinical radiography knowledge.Course Content: Students will be introduced to radiographic practice including anatomy, physiology, imaging science and technology, pathology and image interpretation. In addition, students will develop an in-depth understanding of professional issues surrounding the role of a diagnostic radiographer such as patient care, and inter-professional communication. The course uses a blended learning approach, combining in-class and e-learning activities. Key Modules: The course consists of 8 modules including, Concepts in Radiation Science, Diagnostic Radiographic Imaging I & II, Anatomy & Radiographic Practice, Professional Studies, Clinical Placement, Evidence-Based Practice, and a Dissertation.Accreditations: This course is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is also accredited by the Society and College of Radiographers (SCoR). Future Careers: Graduates are qualified to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Diagnostic Radiographer. Possible career prospects include becoming a Diagnostic Radiographer in the NHS, private healthcare, and the armed forces.
