MA Political Communication

The Political Communication MA at Cardiff University is a full-time course designed to offer an advanced understanding of the relationship between political decision-making, the media and communication technology. The course explores the rapid evolution in communication technologies and their impact on traditional and newer forms of political communication. Course Content: Over the course of the program, students will study important areas such as journalism, politics and media, quantitative research methods, political communication, and governance and society. The program encompasses learning about changing political practices, impact of the media on political processes, and role of communication in policy processes. Key Modules: Essential modules include 'Journalism, Politics and Public Debate', 'The Policy Making Process', 'Understanding Political Communication', 'Public Communications', 'Quantitative Research Methods', and 'Key Issues in Journalism'. Furthermore, students will be required to complete a Dissertation.
